Happy Halloween my least favorite holiday of all time!

I am all about you get what you focus on, so to remain upbeat and positive I choose to get high as often as I can by thinking positively or humorously. I thought about this tonight and came to the conclusion that just like a hot air balloon, the more warmth and energy you put into it the higher you get.

With that note, I wonder if it is fun to be floating in the sky, maybe I need to do that next spring and float above Park City!

Something's Missing, John Mayer

This past weekend between HSM and the stand up comedy and Improv show, I asked the following questions to my friends:

1) What was your first concert you went to?

2) Who would die to see front row?


-The third question was, "What worst concert you went to?" But we decided it was not necessarily the performer but more of the situation; I.E. Who you went with, What did random strangers do to you, Were you sick before the concert etc...

1) My first concert was Jo Dee Messina. Over the summer I was introduced to her by my Wildcat cousins when I stayed with them, and that fall she landed in the state alongside Rascal Flatts. We managed to sneak backstage before the concert and get a picture of them.

2) After some consideration it might have to be Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, or possibly Britney Spears. It is a hard choice because they all bring different talents to the table...

A Night to Remember, High School Musical 3 Cast

Post remains spoiler free:

I saw the hit movie of the year twice this weekend because A) I am a bit obsessed and B) It was really that good. The scenes were colorful, musical, laughable, and caused a few tears to flow, because we all remain in the high school mentality with some bit of our lives, whether it is wanting to be done and 5 years in the future, or wanting things to go slower and to remain the same.

I highly recommend this movie if you like musicals (Hairspray), pop culture, Disney-based paraphernalia, or wanting to a good G rated movie (they are hard to come by now).

To the crazy friends and family wildcats hat I saw the movie with, I say to you:


"High School Musical,

Today I decided that Blogger has no love for us bloggers. My reasoning for this was brought up by a friend a few weeks ago, and now that I notice it, I am starting to go crazy. The issue is this:

When someone makes a comment why can't their be a reply to this comment button. I feel like this would help create the blogosphere more interactive, and be more conversational. I know other blog host sites have this capability, and I am in love with it there.

So what can be done about this (because I am all for saying something and moving it forward)?

Today I somehow came upon a former home by finding a residents blog. I lived there for almost 6 months while on my mission, and it was the most inviting and magical place I have ever been. If I get the chance I will move there in a heartbeat. The island is environmentally friendly, forested, and I rarely ever saw or smelled anyone smoking.

Some of the best memories from my mission were made there... Like getting my car stuck in mud and while in my suit trying to push it out, meeting some of the best people I have ever met, celebrating my birthday and Christmas, watching the lights of Seattle light up, falling in love with Safeway, eating at McDonalds (the only fast food joint on the whole island), and finally feeling like I was doing good in the community.

Since it is across the sound from Seattle, many people commute and therefore need nannies. Perhaps I should go nanny up there for a season... But do people want a manny?

Start of Something New, High School Musical Cast

Prepare to get excited or annoyed, but its time to celebrate the conclusion of High School Musical, or HSM for short.

To start the beginning of the end, I watched the first movie in the series with some friends this weekend, and the question kept coming up: "Why do I like this?"

Here is my instant rebuttal:

I like it is because it is a simple musical, full of cheesiness grated slowly without any complexity to it. I also love the idea of sticking to what you feel is good and true, even though others slap labels to you.

What is your reason for disliking or loving the musical?

Tell Me Something Good, Rocket Summer

There is plenty of bad news, so it's time for a segment for what's good!

• Rachael Yamagata is coming to town, a singer songwriter not to be missed!
• Ms. Spears set a record for Billboard charts for making a leap from #96 to number #1 in a week! Very Impressive, one could say she is back.
• The elections are making people think about what they believe in, rather than thinking in group thought.
• A man returned a stolen plaque 50 years later, after taking it when he was 12.
• I have been working out for the past couple days and feel better.
• There is a book about cupcakes that looks like my dog
• Harry Connick Jr. stars in a new lifetime movie Saturday, that stars Amanda Bynes.
• Errand of Angels plays in the dollar theatre... A film every Christian should see.
• Someone fell in love.
• Someone was married today.
• October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, please get a mammogram ESPECIALLY if you are under 30 and have a history of it in your family.
• The full moon shined through my skylight last night.
• Someone received some service from someone, and made their day.
• God still cares about you and thought about you a lot today.

And most of all, good news is that I am still your friend, even though I may or may not see you very often.

It is slightly biased, but let's face it, no one can be completely un-biased. But it has a mirror cover which I love!

Anywho it's various celebrities, editors, authors, and athlete's perceptions of the power of voting, information about how America functions, or memories of their first experience in voting (parents, or 4th grade election). The book is geared towards young people, and is sponsored by Declare Yourself, a non-profit, non-partisan, group that encourages today's youth to vote.

Feelings Show, Colbie Caillat

Right before I go to sleep I have been reading a "phone call" from America's Favorite night DJ. The book is full of listener's perspectives and stories about love.

Tonight I read a commentary from Delilah, and I have to agree, with her thoughts on love:

"I know I feel that way for my children and close family members, but as I grow in love, I realize there are other people God has brought into my life that I would also fight for, even die for... There are about a dozen people, outside of my children (family), to whom I would not hesitate to donate a major organ in order to save their lives, even if I still needed that organ. But the thought of giving up my life for a stranger, a con artist.... That is a type of love I will never be able to understand or emulate. I'm not that loving. I'm glad God is."

A Moment Like This, Kelly Clarkson

The beginning of this story started in 2002 when a little singing competition was aired on tv. Having a love for all things pop and singing, I tuned in, hoping it was better than the WB's Popstars. Little did I know that the singer I would celebrate winning, I would see visibly in concert.


This is the funfetti cake a friend and I made to provide increased luck to Kelly as she faced Justin (in the bottom right hand corner it says Die Justin Die).




So a short background, every time that Kelly came on tour it was either not close enough to see her perform, or I was in on my mission.... Well this past July the 2 Worlds 2 Voices second leg of the tour was announced, and I knew I had to go.

I bought tickets as soon as I could for my cousin, sister, brother-in-law, and me, and we ended up on row 10 of the floor, which I was happy with.

Well the day finally came and we went to the show, but made a quick stop to visit with my cousin's friend who bought tickets through an auction and landed on row 2. Since no one was in front of them we decided to chill on row one and watch the opener perform her comedy act.... until the people that had front row seats bumped us out. So we had to go back to row 10... NOTE: Comedians are a lot funnier when you are on row one, than on row 10... maybe it's because you have to laugh when they can see you....

Soon after the comedian left the stage a miracle happened... A guy who was sitting next to my cousin's friend on row 2 said that he had two extra tickets and couldn't sell them or give them away so he was giving them to her.... which meant within seconds my cousin and I landed on Row 2 to see Ms. Independent! I was ecstatic!

After 5 songs, that same guy left, because he was "bored," so my sister and brother-in-law came up!

The set list was great, including the opener, Sweet Dreams Are Made of These, and it set the tone for the whole night! At one point during the concert, I wrote my catch phrase, "Yahtzee!" on a piece of paper and showed Reba and Kelly, they just laughed and laughed. Also because I have long arms, I held it up in the air, so it appeared on camera. Also I made a peace sign, after hearing Because of You which was televised, because I think people that are abused in one form or another need peace.

Overall I have to say it was one of the best concerts I have been to, partly because it fulfilled my dream of seeing Kelly live, while being able to physically see her. After the show, I cried a bit because one of my top dreams had been fulfilled. I had seen Kelly, and she had seen me...

World Spins Madly On, the Weepies

Today I read an article about Nicholas Sparks, and I feel like I should read one of his books, but I don't know which one. I am waiting for my one of my book clubs to finish reading this, and need something to read over fall break.

Has anyone read one that they love? I prefer not to read the Notebook or Walk to Remember, or Message in a Bottle, because I have seen the movies and would like to be somewhat *surprised.

*I realize some of the novels might be highly predictable.

Legacy, Nichole Nordeman

Last week a friend and I's conversation turned to journal writing.... And from that I have been thinking a lot about what would future generations really want to know. Like the day to day stuff, or the monumental events IE meeting Hilary Duff, tender mercies, good laughs with friends etc...

Also the conversation was brought up, that should one write down the personal moments that we have, that we don't dare write down because someone finding them out now is "dangerous." IE one's insecurities, disagreements, down and out thoughts, etc...

On another weekend note.... I love hearing advice from inspired individuals who are in-tune with that Divine source from above! This weekend was full of it, and I thought the overall message was, "get with the program because you are about to go on a thrill ride, and later in life you will love it!"

So what will you write? Something to ponder for your Monday morning as you stare at the screen wondering when the next weekend comes up.

So I have a dessert of the month/occasion/whenever club, where we venture off to get some dessert that we have heard of being really good!

We have been to Pace's Dairy Ann for the world Famous popsicles, and recently we went to Cutler's Cookies and Deli. I have to say those cookies are too good. The Marshmellow brownie cookie was to die for, and I almost considered driving back up after school today... food aids in foolish decisions.

My question is there anywhere you
think we should go for an amazing feast of sweetness?

I'm Ready, I Am, The Format

Yesterday I received a suprise phone call from a friend who wanted to go look at the beginning of the leaves taking color up the canyon.

We departed and the streams, rocks, and trees alongside the road were beautiful. It made me want to go camping...which I am not a big fan of!

Anywho long story short, I came to the conclusion that while I still yearn for summer, I am okay with fall being here alongside me in this world we call Earth. Now time to make some more pumpkin cookies...

Today I remembered one of my first loves. He was made of green clay, and could transport himself into any book, with his pony pal Pokey. I remember waking up early to catch his adventures every morning before school. At one point at the beginning of my singing career, I got the soundtrack from the show, and sang along.... as I created a lyrical dance to "Bend Me Shape Me.'

What brought this all about is I saw a documentary on TV about the creator of Gumby, and the religious series, Davey and Golaith.

Fact I learned, Gumby is green because the color did not mean anything... if he was "blue it meant he was a Christian," if he was black or brown, it meant he was "Mexican, Indian, or an African." Interesting I know.
