Okay so I have to say today has been a interesting day and it's only beginning. As I sit here in the computer lab at school typing away at a paper, a couple comes and sits at the computers to the right of me. They hold hands and casually chatter as couples do, and I think little of them...

Until I take off my ear buds, because I hear someone crying. I cautiously look over and the girl is crying. Curious, I turn off my MP3 player and start to listen....

Apparently they have decided to break up, and it sounds like the guy was the one behind it.

I have now finished my paper after working for forty-five minutes, and they are still discussing the relationship. It is very interesting, and kinda of awkward because who breaks up in a computer lab with people around? But the ultimate is over text messaging. I know 2 people that this tragedy has happened to.

Can and Cannot Do, Gia Farrell

So the past couple weeks have been ultra interesting.... for many a reason! Hopefully these pictures help illustrate.



I had a new niece... named Aurora! She is pretty cute and pretty quiet. I told my sister she would be an America's Top Model in 18 years, but she didn't like that comment.


I went to HSM On Stage with my favorite Wildcat friend! It was awesome, and brought a new dimension to the HSM storyline.

I ate at one of my new favorite places SpoonMe! It's pretty healthy, and tasty... I recommend the Acai (ah-sa-ee) with graham crackers and raspberries!

I went to the Jordin Sparks/ Jesse Mccartney concert... The venue was a place where an orchestra plays with awesome acoustics, and they put bass speakers up, which caused little to no hearing. BUT the good news is that we were up on the third tier with literally no one, so my friends and I danced up and down the tier! Amazingly good times!

I also had a "pants" party with my friends to celebrate our friendship and to watch one of my new favorite movies.

I also went to the local theme park and overcame my fear of haunted houses. Every since I was young I would always close my eyes, but I was motivated and opened my eyes during the ride... It was lame, and kinda odd. Although at one point I jumped!

I went to the Mayan because I was curious about their "new" adventure and food they have. It pretty much looks the same, and the food is better. One great moment though, is they have added fire dancers. At one point one of the dancers lit his skirt on fire, above the cliff. All was well but it was kinda funny. My face demonstrates my experience there... ( "don't even get me started!)

I also worked on a top secret project which will be revealed early this week... I may need your help!

Virginia is For Lovers, Jordin Sparks

So I am so excited for the weekend... let's just hope I can get the summer out of my system!

I saw an early screening of it months ago, and was fairly impressed with it. Not because "it's LDS Movie," but because it is cinematically pleasing! There is one scene with umbrellas, and it rocks. "ella- eh- eh!"

And if you don't have time for that... Check out this, Cuz who doen't love Bollywood CHEEEEETAH! It airs tonight (and all weekend) on the Disney Channel.

(I don't know why I like Disney Channel Original Movies.... Still tween @ heart I guess).

Best Thing, Usher

This morning I read an article in the DesNews about MacKenzie Lamb, and his struggle to become clean from drugs. I have to say I have always been fascinated by those who come out to recover from an addiction. In fact, it's quite inspirational.

One of my favorite shows is Intervention on A&E. It focuses on the lives of someone addicted to a vice, and the struggle family/friends play to get them to rehab. I find it interesting that at the very end of the show, those who remain clean, and those who don't and the reasons why they weigh out the options to be addiction free or not.

So Congrats Mackenzie and all those who are working to become free from their addiction.

Hometown Glory, Adele

First off, let me say that I highly recommend Adele, as a CD that everyone should have. Her voice is rich, can scale notes, and the music is lyrically deep.



So this might seem disjointed,and I feel no need to apologize. It's what my mind thinks about life:

Tonight something has arisen in me and I do not like it. I don't like the fact that I am the enemy when it is all because of what I believe. Someone has attacked me and I did nothing but sat there, being quieter than the Antarctic tundra, listening and clapping. I hate the fact that I am frustrated, and tired of ridiculous pride from an individual I do not even know.

To this I hope that solace and peace arises, much like smoke coming from a windmill.... slow and steady with the smell of change rising and signaling change.

I freaked out, only to find out everything was okay. Shaken but not stirred. Rain dripped from each brain cell as I realize how shallow life is.

I am frustrated that I rely so much on relationships that will eventually leave, with only syncopated memories that fit into the palm of my brain. Those that know me well, know that I am distant and guarded, wanting to fit in, but afraid to do so because.

I close in an unfolding dream surrounding me, as I fall from the spinning pedals around me, only to be picked up by a stranger I am still learning about. Morning Dew from the sky, fall which causes me to look to the northeast cloud, and find myself soaring, raging onwards. With each metric I fly in the sky only to discover, pebbles uncovered.

Takes a Little Time, Amy Grant

Early this morning, like 5 AM, I woke up and was terribly confused. I could not tell if it was Wednesday or Thursday, and it bothered me so bad. Then once I felt like the problem was resolved, I couldn't fall asleep because I was reminded of some additional stress that might come about by an announcement on Friday (details on that later).

I just hate waking up in the morning and feeling lost and annoyed. It sets the day off wrong. Why can't all mornings be where I am nudged awake by a favorite song, and feeling refreshed.

A Day In the Sun, Hilary Duff

Everyone has a day in the sun, and right now it is the Olympians from all over the world. Lately I have been staying up, trying to watch as many events as I can. This is causing for slow mornings, and Olympic fever.

I have to say my favorite events thus far have been:

Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Swimming, Synchronized Diving, Soccer, and many more....

I have trouble though, because I feel China is hiding many negative aspects of the games....

For example:

1) The little Chinese girl singing vs the actual girl who can sing
2) The dancer that was injured days before the games, and little was known about it until The NY Times investigated.
3) The possible 13 year old gymnast, who has registered as being 15 on government records within the past year.

As the Osmonds sing, "one bad apple, don't spoil the whole bunch."

I love california... and everything associated with it.

One day I hope to live there and soak in the sun, beach, and everything that comes with it (traffic included).

Today I got a package, and I was super excited, because it answers the question I have been asked a lot lately... "What is in a Snuggle Pack?"

You probably do not recognize the above artist and neither do I. Thanks to Itunes I am able to "discover" who I do not want to know or listen to thanks to the their free weekly tracks. I realize it's a promotional thing, but why can't they make good decisions on who to promote.

Now I realize you might think I am overly critical, and have the mindset that my music is above everyone elses', but I don't... most of the time. I really do not expect to fall in love with their free track every week, but c'mon at least give me one!

To give Itunes some credit I have discovered and received three tracks I love and am addicted to:

I Get It, Kate Voegel

Tonight in preparation with the end of this week, I watched Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants. It happens to be one of my favorites, and I think tonight I got a snippet of why:

There is so much raw emotion in the movie that I think that one can easily identified with the problems that arise and the feelings that come from them. Also I believe that the movie projects real image on issues that arise in life and their positive or negative consequences. IE teenage sex, divorce, friendship, terminal diseases, single parent homes, body issues, fitting into society, culture, and the main issue many of us face, self identity.

Also the movie is a microcosm of system based on friendship. We know what it's like to support our friends, and to laugh and cry together. Although the friends may leave temporarily, as soon as they get back together, the chemistry reacts, and things are just as they are.... friends forever.

You don't have to use this in your movie or anything, although now that I think of it, fainting in Wallman's does kind of qualify me as a loser. Being happy isn't having everything in your life be perfect. Maybe it's about stringing together all the little things like wearing these pants or getting to a new level of Dragon's Lair - making those count for more than the bad stuff. Maybe we just get through it... and that's all we can ask for.
