Okay so it's officially the Christmas season... Pull out those holiday albums and sing like your inner popstar!
There are very few "created" Christmas songs I like, and the song featured above happens to be one of them.
The single song I cannot stand is "Last Christmas" originally by Wham, and later Cascada, Britt Nicole, Hilary Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Jimmy Eat World, Marc D (X-Factor), Cheetah Girls, Kimberly Locke, Leigh Nash (sixpence none the richer, and many others...

So I want to make something for Thanksgiving, Inspired and created by Martha Stewart.... Which should I make... Pumpkin Whoopie Cookies, Or Chocolate Custard Pie? 24 hours to vote just to the right.
I also had the opportunity to see Twilight this past weekend. Before I provide my review you might want to know that I tried to read the book, but I put it down after feeling like I was reading Craptacular of the year. Anywho I went with my cousin and It was interesting to say the least:
Everyone had faces that made them look like they were a 6 year old pouting, or they were heavily constipated.... ALOT. What added to this "look" might be the overdone white powder makeup... I think the special effects director might have forgotten that he can digitally enhance faces. Hence the picture above.
Crazy scenes: This category would be made of field trips to a greenhouse, flying in the air, playing the piano, vampires playing baseball, and a home video ballet.
Catch Phrases: " Hey there spider monkey" "You're so cold," "Hey guys, I just asked Eric to the prom...."
My gripe on Edward... He was not as beautiful as they appeared to make him. Also his accent drifted the entire movie. At times it was a new yorker braving the city life, and other times we went all the way back to Spamalot to see knights in shining armor... speaking of which his glittery face made me laugh... nuff said.
Overall the movie was a great comedy, and I think I might have annoyed the theatre goers around me as I laughed at the inappropriate moments.
This weekend was very exciting and very unique. Some friends and I had decided to venture out to the New Kids On the Block Reunion tour, with Natasha Bedingfield and Lady Gaga opening. I have to say it was quite the event....
1) Lady Gaga was the opener for the opener... and you might have realized my love for her here or here.... One thing bothered me though, No one really understood or seemed to like Lady Gaga, but I thought she was perhaps the greatest performer there, since she sang live, dance, and pretended that she died... but was brought back to life by us screaming. (weird I know... ) She believes in Pop Art, which is a combination of Pop Music, Video Displays with Videos, Singing, and Acting. I thought it was hilarious and really innovative. I would have loved to see a full concert by her, but the 15 minutes were still memorable!
2) I love Natasha Bedingfield's music, and was hoping to hear more of the better songs on her albums, because the singles released thus far are not the greatest... Anywho Natasha Bedingfield is a good singer, but her songs are too slow to dance to. Also she needs backup dancers because the backup singers were trying to do both, and it was ridiculous!
2) NKOTB: They have quite the energy! They sang (some of the time) and danced the whole night. The concert consisted of, what I determined, several acts:
I: The Boys are Back II: We Like To Think That We Can Make New Music II: Remember These Slow Songs: III: Let's Run Into the Audience and Perform on A Hidden Stage IIII: Some of us had Solo Careers, so We Better Show Off IIIII: Thanks for Being a FAN FOREVER IIIIII: SCREAMS FOR AN ENCORE One thing I liked about NKOTB is that they were able to entertain for someone who knew almost zero of their old material. Also it was fun to see all the women scream... It was like being at the Miley Cyrus Concert times 10... all with the energy supplied with 30 year old women.
Overall I had fun being with my friends as we laughed, danced, and perhaps some of us cried.
At HSM3, my friends and I led the wildcat cheer to the rest of the kids in the audience. It cracked us up, and thanks to a friend we have a short movie to share on this doldrum Thursday:
Tonight I had fun as I switched records and tapes from childhood in my record/tape/ burn onto CD stereo. Not only did I find a lot of lost gems, and some ideas for Christmas gifts, but at one moment I found a talk show my sisters and I had from when we were young.... So young that my voice was unfamiliar, high pitched, and caused me to turn red.
Anywho while listening I realized that who we were as kids, is really what we become. For example, tonight at dinner and while playing my new Mario game on my mom's Nintendo DS, I would hear phrases from other's conversations, and would sing them; "criminal" "church entity" and "baby grew up to be a rocker."
Well on the tape I sang various commercials, and words that were said in the commercial. It made me laugh and realize that music has always played a big part in my life.
Also I decided to pull out my old cassettes that I won from the kids radio station when I was younger, and sing along. Because after all, my car is my recording studio! I sing at the top of my lungs everywhere I go.
Halloween is my least favorite part of the entire year... finals included, but this I slightly changed my attitude to I don't care I am going to have fun. Much of my frustration comes from getting a good costume that is "acceptable" but still comfortable.
Well this year I feel like I accomplished just that, as I wore my Dad's leisure suit. Now one might not know what that it since only 40+ adults commented on it... but the cast of High School Musical wear them in the third movie (slightly tighter of course), and my dad had it sitting in his closet, so it was the perfect choice.
The costume accompanied me as I went to two different dances:
1) Stake Halloween Party: I can't describe in too much detail, but I will say if you claim that you are a DJ (designated by the neon lit up lettering), you had better know how to play good fast and current music... Which this DJ did not.
2) Party number 2 rocked... literally. Thanks to my good Canadian friend, we heard about a dance house party in Utah County, suspicious I know... But her friend had the best playlist, mirrors, lights, smoke and of course speakers. My friends and I danced our way that night, and ended our fun to "When I Grow Up," by each taking a separate mirror and dancing. Which brings up the idea, which I am sure you are thinking, "You Guys are Crazy!" I am sure this is what everyone around us thought, but with my friends we don't care. We danced for the emotional and physical need... We dance to celebrate life, our friendship, and our losses along with our gains, we dance to make each other laugh, we dance to see what resonates in our mind can resonate on the dance floor, and we dance to push against the mundane walk of life!
And that is why it is easy to dance with my friends.
