On Our Way, Christina Aguilera

So lately I realized that dreams come true, as I will be an intern this summer for something I love. Granted it's no "Hills" but guess what Lauren Conrad - For the rest of us we work for what we want in life!

But with my summer internship I hope the following happens just like the Hills:

1) I create a summery like friend, who laughs alot.
2) Drama ensues as the enemy character challenges me.
3) I find summer fling.
4) I swim at the pool and chat with my friends at the pool.
5) I meet and hang out with some form of celebrity, musician, band etc...

What's Love Got To Do With It, Tina Turner

So there are songs that instantly remind me of certain radio stations. Tonight's is one of them. I am reminded of easy listening, or listening to a favorite Radio Personality,
Delilah!

Which brings up the issue; Do you imagine a DJ to look differently than they do in real life?

Vote in my poll at the side.

Which Picture is Delilah?

Sympathy, Goo Goo Dolls

"Sympathy is a social affinity in which one person stands with another person, closely understanding his or her feelings." -Wiki-
Days like today are good reminders of what we have and how easy it is to lose it all. While I do not completely understand what our troops face, I personally am so grateful for those who serve because it is something that I could not do. The mental and physical strain from day to day they face, is un-imaginable. So please take a moment to think about our troops and the honor and courage they face.

Leavin', Jag Star OR I Wanna Die, Miranda Lambert

I know I have said this a million times, but I am done with Idol. It's time for me to make a change, and rearrange. I'm free now, time to discover something else. PS Here is some David Sadness from the results!

Be Prepared and Safe!

Turn Off the Lights, Nelly Furtado

Earlier today our power finally came back on around 1:30 AM! The madness started 42 minutes into American Idol Tuesday night! I have to say it was a bit odd and I did not know what to do, so I ended up listening to the radio on my cell phone, and then reading the New Era. In regards to the whole lights out experience, I question How did the Pioneers survive? Because seriously, I could not force myself to go to sleep at 9:30 when all is dark! Maybe there was something mysterious in that crazy molasses taffy they made?

Must Have Done Something Right, Relient K

Lately I have been feeling really good. I dunno if its good Karma, or if its because I am doing what I am supposed to. All I know is I love how I feel and want it to stay.

PS I picked this book up and am super excited to read it. It's May's book of the month!

Video of the Week

Bless This Child was on SNL this past week, and I cannot stop laughing. Reminded me of a Roadshow I remember called "Windows of Light."

Two Weeks in Hawaii, HelloGoodbye

So yesterday I picked up my "free trip" I won. I was 1 of 1000 chosen from the University, and let's just say I haven't decided if it's a scam or not. It sounds intriguing, but I just want to make sure I know what the trip actually entails. So keep your planners open, because Rehab 2.0 will be happening later this year, and it could be @ the Mall of America, or Hawaii!

It's On, Superchick

So events have happened recently that have made me want to make sure my stance is known on issues. At this point in time I will not elaborate, but one day I will post my list of what I hate. This list is not the typical shallow hate list IE ( I hate restaurants that serve Pepsi Products), but the more severe issues that we face as human beings, friends, and neighbors and fellow creatures on the earth.

Today in honor of my stance I wore my shirt that reads, "Stop Genocide in Sudan."

"It's on and on
It's on and on
Today's your day
So c'mon bring it on
and no matter how you feel
its what you do that matters
this is your moment to be strong
today's your day!"

Fotografia, Juanes and Nelly Furtado

I went to celebrate David Archuleta Day recently and all I can say is WOW! I had a lot of fun partly because I screamed like a teeny bopper, which then made me lose my voice. David is talented and knows how to perform, but I do not think he is the best out there. The crowd was crazy for him, and I have to say being tall had its benefit at this event. Not to mention it provided an opportunity for me to point out, that some are blessed and others are not, to a 12 year old girl who complained because she couldn't see David.

Coca-Cola wanted to help celebrate the event and gave out free coke zero, which is gross and overly foamy, which can't be good for one's bowels!

Yellow, Coldplay

I love the Sun. Especially when it shines in through the skylight and spotlights my face as I brush my teeth. Provided is my Haiku:

Thank You, Chris Brown

So to some I have a problem with saying "Thank You." Apparently I say, "Thanks so much I appreciate it." This reminds others of Celine Dion thanking everyone when she performs (and it really is everyone, IE the light makers, the dancers, the singers, those that came, the technicians, the investors etc....)

I personally do not see the problem with this, so to those that have a problem with someone saying thanks, I would like to remind them, providing thanks is a priceless gift, and a lost art.

So to God and everyone in my life, I say thanks for all you do, and just being you.

I'm Here, Aly and AJ

Interestingly enough my internet has been up and down for the past couple days, so I haven't been as active online as I want, but I am here.

On Sunday Night/Monday Morning, I had one of the most frustrating and wonderful dreams I have ever had;

I was living in Los Angeles in a house with 9 other people, and we were contestants on this show called, American Idol. Parts of the dream had me walking around various boutiques looking for things to wear, laughing with contestants as we made fun of youtube videos, and practicing our songs with a vocal coach named "Birdie." We went over my song several times which was some weird country song from a musical. I hated it, but she said it was the only song that sounded okay since I couldn't hit high notes. I started to get really frustrated with the song, and started to scream, she came and put her arm around me, and said it was okay because "I was a good singer, but I wouldn't neccessarily win!" For some reason I started freaking out, because deep inside I just wanted to be on the show and sing for the audience... I did not want to win!
This cycle kept going as I talked with other contestants, and when I woke up, I have never been so sad and confused in my whole life!

Goodbye Earl, Carrie Underwood

(Yes I realize that she didn't originally sing it.... it's on her Demo I have)

I have a lot of updates to do, especially after the concert last night. BUT I was tagged by my friend SoulHappy and wanted to update before I take off for the day.

a) pick up nearest book
b) turn to page 123
c) find 5th sentence
d) post the 5th sentence
e) tag 5 (or more) people

"When nothing else had, animal training got me to stop."

From What Shamu Taught Me About Life, Love, and Marriage: Lessons for People from Animals and Their Trainers

Also I tag Days of our Price, Lpettey, Amy's Random Life, Best Part of the Day Thus Far

( I would tag one more blog but I already know their response... "cuz some people weren't likin' it!")

Volare, Vitamin C

Volare is Italian for:

soar [soː] verb
to fly high
Example: Seagulls soared above the cliffs; Prices have soared recently.

Summer officially begins when I turn in my paper to my professor Monday morning, and I will be soaring over campus as I fly back home. AND!!! Monday is supposed to be summer-like weather which means I venture outside to catch some sun. As I sit here, I begin to feel like this summer could be the one to top them all. Today to celebrate the new beginning, I made some calendars filled with quotes, pictures, and a little humor.
