California Gurls, Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dog

As I talked with a friend today, I realized, "Life keeps you on your toes for preparing what's coming up." 

You may or may not know that my cousin and I took a random trip to great city of Los Angeles in hopes of being a part of the So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) Finale. We had received tickets and the timing for everything was perfect. We woke up this morning and ventured on our way.

Well as we hit St. George I decided to check my email.  An email from a contest sponsor emailed me letting me know I was a semi-finalist in the Lady Gaga contest and to send some contact info their way. I did so, and within minutes I was told that I was the winner...

What does this entail?  A trip (hotel, airfare, and meet and greet) to see Gags in person on Friday in Vegas.  So our plans have taken quite a crazy spin:

Today we hit up Disneyland --World of Color is amazing and inspiring.  It's like the Bellagio fountains on turbo speed with Kool-Aid shooting out.

Tomorrow (Thurs) is SYTYCD finale day. Cross your fingers we get in!

Friday we hop on a plane from LAX to Vegas to see and meet Gaga.

Saturday: Plane returns us from to the Golden Coast, where we then drive back to Utah.



Real question is: What would you ask or say to Gaga? I would love any advice!

Can't Find the Words, Karina

The Results are in!!!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who voted, prayed, or wished for us! It means a lot.... I can't describe how I feel; ecstatic, because we came in #4 overall which is a great place to be in a national competition! A little sad, because my dream of a visit to the Tyra Show will not happpen for now.

A a group we each get a $500 Giftcard, and a new Flip Cam (PS Tyra gave those to everyone in her audience this week, so maybe it's a piece of Tyra)!

The Thing About Love, Alicia Keys

I have to say good karma and hard work came in very handy yesterday.

All week while I am work, I have been trying to win Alicia Keys tickets, because let's face it.... paying $75-$100 for a singular artist in concert is not worth it, unless it is someone incredible aka Celine and a select few others.

Anywho yesterday was a somewhat blah day, one in which I did not feel sad or happy. I was just sitting on the emotional fence. Well as I was listening the DJ made the announcement to be caller 10 to win tickets. I picked up my cell phone and dialed. Busy. I called again. Busy. The third time I called it started ringing. My first thought was that I would be caller 11, the person after the free tickets.

The next thing I know is, "107.9 The Mix." I then ask if I was caller 10, and sure enough I was! I proceeded to *quietly scream* and question the DJ about my winning, all the while my co-workers laughed.

Lesson Learned: When you focus on something you really want and work hard to get it, Karma and blessings from above pour out so that you receive your desire (if it's good).

I'm So Excited, Young Divas

Last night I did not sleep too well. After a long delay, the winners for the Miley Cyrus/Stadium of Fire Tickets were going to be announced. Well the time has come for the winners: Hint... 2 Min 55 Seconds.

Note: One had to send in postcards that were going to be drawn from a pile. First place Winner receives 4 tickets to Miley, and then the remaining 5 winners will receive the upcoming Jason Wright book.
