Don't Save It All to Christmas Day, Celine Dion

So the contest is over, and I haven't been feeling good enough to post a blog.

...the winners are:

1) Marci ( Amy Grant's new CD "The Christmas Collection")

2) Linzi (Christina Aguilera's "My Kind of Christmas")

Thanks for entering, and I hope you all have a peaceful and fun Christmas!

Fact: As retailers and others crank up Christmas classics during the holiday season, an overwhelming majority of Americans (87%) have no objection at all to the "jingle bell rock" in public during the "most wonderful time of the year." Only 7% are bothered "a lot" or "some" by hearing Christmas music in stores and public places. Americans are much concerned with the commercialization of Christmas, while 52% are bothered at least some by it. Source: Pew Research Center

Last Christmas, Britt Nicole

So last Christmas might have been a little boring, stressful, annoying, or might have felt like a lack of spirit.

Well I have decided we need to change that... Lately I have learned that we need not focus on the past, but we need to pick up our bucket and ipod*, and start from where we are and move forward.

SO... To help I have my first (and likely last) giveaway.

In the comments below write an entry about your favorite Christmas Album... The one that makes you laugh, dance, or brings a certain memory. More than two sentences is appreciated!

I will then pull all entrants names in a santa-fied hat and the winner will win possibly 1 of 2, or both brand new freshly wrapped CDs. One of the CDs is brand new and came out in October, and the other is one of my favorite that I discovered after the mish (it also happens to be by one of my favorite artists ever)!

Important to note:

1) One Entry per person
2) I must know who you... (To Catch a predators/stalkers need not apply).
3) Contest closes Thursday December 18th @ 11:59 PM

Best of luck and drink some cocoa!

You Make It Real, James Morrison

Today is Monday and as my crystal ball states, it's hard to work and stay focused... That is why if I had Oprah's power and money, I would get you all one of these:

Oh Snap! A sequin top and plush lined coat! I think I need it. But the real question is, Are those music notes included because I only want Hannah if they are.

Seriously though I was looking for a possible gift for my niece on Amazon, and I found this video. It makes me wonder if the advertisements were comparable to the one's I grew up on.... Except I don't think there was the rushed talking at the end like in the Hannah commercial!

Deck The Halls, Whitney Houston

Shopping for myself is easy, for others I find it extremely difficult. I tend to get stressed out as I stand on the tile floor as I glance at all the merchandise around , just looking for that one "perfect" gift.

So I decide my preferred gift to give is a magazine subscription. My sister bought one for me 2 years ago, and every time it came I thought of her, not mention I enjoyed reading, recycling, and using it for collages.

Then last year I received a to die for offer, Entertainment Weekly (52 issues, one a week) for only $10! So much of a steal of a deal, that I signed up for 3 years. I do not have any complaints with the magazine or service that was rendered.

Well this year I received the offer from Time Inc (the largest magazine publisher in the US), and thought I would share it with you.

Important to Note:
The site will close at 11:59p.m., December 11th, 2008. So act now.
Offer is limited to five magazines per household.
